Virtual Investors Conference 2020

What is usually a world-renowned live conference quickly became virtual, and we met the challenge as we would a physical event - with a focused exploration of conceptual possibilities, and then a design language we created and applied to every aspect of the experience.

To give a sense of place to this format unfamiliar to most guests, we conceived of a “venue” with an illustrated New York City view out the windows. The scene changed each session, as did the color of the sky along with the time of day.

To give a sense of place to this format unfamiliar to most guests, we created a “venue” for our speakers. Each session showed a different illustrated NYC scene through the windows, and the sky changed color throughout the day.

We worked closely with the illustrator Rob Wilson to create textural cityscapes that were vector and easy to manipulate, but retained his signature handmade feel.

 

We worked with animators to turn Rob’s layered illustrations into a fly-through video experience.
