Uniqlo and Toray (the engineering company that makes Uniqlo’s advanced fabrics) came together to show off both the creativity and technology that go into Uniqlo products. We became experts in the complex science behind the materials as we designed an educational and experiential event for press and celebrities.

The softness of Airism was demonstrated with a fabric installation guests could walk through, touch, and pose with. Fans gave the piece movement.
A dimensional diagram displays how acrylic fibers become either HeatTech fabrics, or advanced carbon fiber products like a rocket.
The thinner-than-hair fibers that make up each product were displayed next to the clothing.
Red ‘heat molecules’ were dropped into a large-scale model of HeatTech fibers, demonstrating how well the fabric retains heat.
